NieCat Foundation of Excellence Inc. is a 501©(3) founded by Miriam Carlota Sullivan in October 2020. NieCat exists to fulfill the need for young adults with special needs to have a place to go once they age out of the public and the private school system. NieCat gives exceptional young adults a haven to manifest a sustainable life for themselves.
NieCat provides exceptional young adults a safe-haven with opportunities to explore and realize their gifts/talents. These young adults receive therapy services, literacy skills, yoga, vocational training, and career counseling. They also receive mindfulness, entrepreneurial training, and life coaching sessions in a nurturing, fun, judgment-free zone. Carlota will use her skills as a Life Coach to work with the students individually and collectively to increase their self-esteem and self-concept and visualize a world where they control their lives and contribute to the community.
Carlota received her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Spanish in 1987 from FISK University. She received her Masters' in Elementary Education in 1993 from Nova Southeastern University. She became certified in Life Coaching in 2013 and is presently working on her doctorate in Education with a concentration in Special Education from Northcentral University.
